St Mark’s member, ROB WHITEMAN, has been training for Unitarian ministry. On 12 June, our Convener, Mary McKenna, presented Rob, a keen cricket enthusiast, with a cake suitably decorated, by Mary, which he shared with the congregation. Rob will be sadly missed. He played a very full part in the life of St Mark’s, including leading worship, being a member of various committees, volunteering and writing articles for Waymark.
His Valedictory Service took place at Unitarian College Manchester on 14 June. This marked the formal end of his ministry training, and his recognition as a Minister of Liberal Religion. He is the first person from the Edinburgh congregation, in many years, to have trained for the Unitarian ministry. We wish Rob well in his ministry.
