Charges & booking

Lettings of the Church and/or Upper Hall are normally for 4-hour sessions as smaller time slots are not economic. The Lower Hall is normally let for blocks of one or more full weeks.

The Church rate is £160 per four hour session
The Upper Hall rate is £100 per four hour session
The Lower Hall rate is £400 per week.

These prices are for one booking. Multiple bookings, especially over an extended period, will cost less. We may be able to offer a further discount to groups or organisations for which we have a special affinity, such as shared beliefs and values or some valuable local community connection.

The usual time sessions available are as follows.

10.00 to 14.00hrs (daily except Sundays and Tuesdays) 
14.00 to 18.00hrs (daily) 
18.00 to 22.00hrs (daily except Thursdays)

These times must be inclusive of setting up, rehearsal, clearing up and departure: please make due allowance when deciding upon your programme timings.

We welcome regular bookings – for which reduced rates are available. Presently we have availability during week-day day times and on Wednesday evenings. Our premises can suit the needs of smaller charitable organisations, music groups, reading groups, etc. 

For concerts and similar events, Performing Rights charges for music, if appropriate, are passed on to you, unless you can show that you are not liable for this charge. For public entertainment events we also make a charge to assist with the cost of the City of Edinburgh Council Public Entertainment Licence. If you require the piano to be especially tuned, we will ask you to pay for the cost.
